Seamus with one from Rinnanney. This fish was taken last week but shows the quality of fish still moving

A cloudy start to the day in Foxford and it looks like we could have showers again today. Yesterday we had a few heavy thunder bursts and the river is up by about 10cm this morning, now 0.53m at Ballylahan bridge. That’s not a lot of a rise but very often a little drop of fresh water running through the river can stir the fish up. On a daily basis now we have fresh fish entering the system and there’s a few pools where good numbers of fish are holding. A mix of Grilse and Springers still. On the Loughs, reports from Conn and Cullen are good. Smaller trout but more free rising on Cullen and some beautiful trout on Conn. Still a sporadic hatch of May fly and some spent returning to the water. Well worth a try.
