A balancing act with a sea trout, Killala Bay 25/07/2021

A duller morning in Foxford with rain clouds to the west, looks like we will get some rain as the morning progresses. Difficult to say how much rain is on the way. The forecast mentions thundery downpours, these can be very localsied and it depends on where they fall. Its safe enough to say that by mid week we should have better fishing conditions than we have had for a while. The fish will certainly welcome a cool down in their environment. For today the bubble and fly could be well worth a try. I was speaking to a customer yesterday morning, he had three salmon on Saturday on a fly he bough from us. Yesterday we had another try at the sea trout. The tide was very strong in the area we choose to fish and there was a lot of weed in the water but we did have some success and the sea breeze kept us nice and cool.
